Finally..the finished product! And I couldn’t be happier! This little man is so absolutely adorable and Marcie..you look gorgeous! Enjoy!

Meet Baby Jonah!

I must say I love photographing newborns! There is most definitely a sense of calm I feel when the only thing I am hearing is the “click” of my camera and the sweet sounds coming from the tiny little subject I happen to be photographing. And little Jonah was no exception! I knew I had to get my camera on this little guy before it was too late! He is way too adorable for words!! And a great sport to boot! Not ONCE did this little man cause a fuss during his lengthy session..what a trooper! Congrats Marcie and Jeremy!! Here is a little sneak peak from our session last week.

Can I Have Those Eyelashes?

I am in constant awe of ALL of my children’s eyelashes….they seem to run on forever and I will admit..I cannot get enough of them! Beautiful!

Chicago, Illinois ~ Engagement!

There is one trait that most women will immediately list as one of their top characteristics when looking for a partner…it is usually, without a doubt, the first thing we as women will say with absolute certainty every time…LAUGHTER! He has to make me laugh!

Well….I can say that Jeff and Jenilyn are textbook examples of a couple that has no shortage of laughter in their relationship!

I have known Jeff for some time now. He and my husband happen to be great friends and as a result WE have become friends! When Jeff told us he had found the “one” he couldn’t have been more right! I knew from the moment I met Jenilyn that they were meant to be. Her laughter is infectious! And the one thing I remember, always, after I spend time with them is how Jeff makes Jenilyn laugh..ALL THE TIME! It’s not a little chuckle here and there..it is full on laughter..the kind that comes from way deep inside and makes you stomach hurt or takes your breath away.

So when they asked me to photograph their upcoming wedding in Chicago.. I was beyond excited! We had so much fun shooting their engagement session downtown this past week. I am even more excited for the big day!

Easter Egg Hunt!!

Oh my how I have been slacking on keeping this lil blog up to date! Forgive me! Needless to say I am NOW ..just now posting Easter!

We have fallen into a wonderful tradition of putting together an Easter Egg Hunt for all the kids every year. My parents home is the perfect place…the yard is HUGE and as a result there are a boatload of places to hide the eggs. It is a total frenzy at the first “GO” ..and usually the adults are giving the little ones direction as to where to look..”right here..right here..” and the big kids are frantically piling eggs into their baskets! It becomes a very busy day out on the lawn….So Fun!

And we need to give a little photo love to the amazing people that make it all possible…..(haha) the fam! Well..the adults..who get to sit back and watch from the sidelines as it all unfolds..

New Photo Challenge…..Angles!

Both the babies would NOT go down for a much needed nap so I slipped them each a little warm milk to calm them down. I am constantly trying to work the room with my camera to see what I can capture just by moving around. It happened to be snowing outside and the only light was coming in from the windows..they were still (the boys) and so I laid flat on my stomach in order to catch them both looking out the window at the snow.

Another photo challenge at I Heart Faces! Bundled Up is the theme…This is my little Tucker..all bundled up! As newborns always are..poor thing! Just brand new! Little did he know I was dying to try out my new camera on him!

Oh How I Miss The Hair!

I will admit it. I am a sucker for long hair on little boys! I always knew..when I was pregnant with my first..if it was a boy.. I was going to grow his hair out. I can’t explain why..maybe I knew it was going to be the only time I would have control over how long or how short they kept it. Needless to say those days are gone and they are only 4 and 5 years of age.

I came across these photos from a couple of years ago. They just melt my heart. And..the hair! Oh my..I didn’t realize just how much I missed the hair!
